Week 2 Catalogue George Macland
To be honest, I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do for this weeks brief. I’m not a massive fan of what I’ve done, and its somewhat of a work in progress too. I definitely think it’s missing something. I also don’t even think I’ve done it right. All that aside, I quite like the minimal way I’ve made it look. Here it is:

For this weeks task, I created a mock-up of a fashion blog. I chose to present it in this format because when I was looking at my collection of random objects, I saw that there were a few accessories so I took them and translated them by exploring their properties and pairing them with a minimalistic outfit.

I decided to look at cleaning products, gloves, orange juice carton for my 3 ideas. I translated them through illustration, photography, scanning and print making.

week 2 task catalogue
This week I’ve made a A4 sized landscape publication which is the same format as my sketchbook. I want to design something that is handy and personal to myself. I looked up this book and makes me think to do hand writing and lots of drawings.

From the last week feedback, the survival kit idea reminds me to add specific description to my chosen item. I’ve also tried my best to make the drawing style consistent. I picked up three items based on the hierarchy of effectiveness and frequency.
